Well, whaddaya wanna know? I'm Rory, I'm 20something years old, and I live in Scotland. I am a member of the Bahá'í Faith, and I'm studying for an MA (hons) in English Language and Linguistics at Edinburgh University.
I'm a true Scot and I've lived in Scotland all my life. You could say I'm proud to be Scottish - however, that doesn't mean I hate English people or am in favour of Scottish Independence. Scotland is a beautiful country. I reckon everyone should experience Scotland - the gorgeous sunsets, the hospitable people, the thousands of years of heritage, the unremitting rain, and the abominably high prices.
My faith is something very close to me, and I try to keep it in mind with all my actions. The Bahá'í Faith is the newest world religion, founded in Persia (Iran) in the 19th Century. It teaches the oneness of humanity, and the essential need for world unity. In the words of Shoghi Effendi, the Guardian of the Bahá'í Faith:

Computers form a major part of my interests. I've been using them all my life - first my parents' Amstrad CPC6128 - and I use them daily. I have a great interest in linguistics and in conlanging (see my Conlangs page for details). As for music, my interests can fall under the very vague categories of "rock" and "electronic". So, to be more precise, I like punk, punk rock, heavy metal, classic rock, power metal, symphonic metal, grindcore, and progressive metal. On the "electronic" side of things, I like breakbeats, hip-hop, techno and ambient. I also listen to classical music from time to time. Other miscellaneous interests include theology, biology, health, nutrition, roleplaying, and films.
The site's name is my name. But with a zero instead of an o. Mainly because the URL with an o was already taken. Consider it my expression of individualism. Alternately, you could go the geeky linguistic route and consider the zero to represent a zero-grade vowel root that changes dependent on context. This analogy works when you consider that different people pronounce the first vowel in my name differently. This site first went up, under a different name, around the 3rd of October 2003. The entire site is written in Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict, and hopefully the CSS is all good, too. It should work on all browsers, but if it doesn't (or if the code isn't as valid as I thought it), then get in touch.
